Are Free Sample Websites Legit? How to Spot the Real Ones

Most freebie sites are aggregators, not platforms. Here's how to tell which UK free sample sites are legit, what to watch for and what good looks like.

Short answer: some are, some aren't. The category has a reputation problem because it's full of low-quality sites trying to monetise traffic without ever sending anyone a product.

Signs a free sample site is legit

  • It's a registered UK company with a real address and support email.
  • It has a clear privacy policy — and doesn't sell your data.
  • It ships products directly. You don't end up on someone else's site to "complete the offer".
  • It publishes terms, refund / honesty policies and complaints handling.

Signs to avoid

  • Asks for card details to "cover postage"
  • Sends endless emails from unrelated brands
  • Hides who runs the site
  • Pushes you through offer walls before delivering anything
