Product Testing vs Freebies — What's the Difference?

Freebies and product testing get lumped together but they're really different things. Here's how they differ and which one will actually deliver products to your door.

People use these two terms interchangeably, but they're not the same thing — and which one you pursue will hugely change what shows up at your door.

Freebies

Freebies are one-off promotions: a sachet of moisturiser, a money-off voucher, a sample of dog food. They require no commitment from you, and in return brands learn very little.

Product testing

Product testing is structured: you receive a real product, use it for a defined period, and provide feedback. The exchange is bigger on both sides — better products for you, better insight for the brand.

Which one is right for you?

If you want the occasional sachet, chase freebies. If you want full-size products posted to your door in exchange for a few minutes of honest feedback, become a product tester instead.
